You don't see any of this detail from first glance, its only once you get up real close does the truth of this piece reveal its self.
Just beautiful!

'Hope in Hollywood'
This is my favorite piece of the whole show, and in fact my favorite moment of my whole week in LA. "Why Carlo?" well I'll tell you.
As a whole image it has a message its thought provoking, relevant to the lost angels of Los Angeles and it has great punch,

'Hope in Hollywood'
Detail 1
Get a little closer and though marks and drips are starting to become clearer, the figure remains the prominent subject. The young inocent little girl forcing her hopes in pray.
Closer still her eyes are two canvas mass arears of black paint with white drips upon then, but still manage to depict the softness of a childs faith in her hopes.
Only once so close can the true freedom of mark making be appreciated for there own right.
And its the confidence and management of strokes, of mark making that makes the Artist the genius he is.
