'I like to Draw'
Detail 2
You don't see any of this detail from first glance, its only once you get up real close does the truth of this piece reveal its self.
Just beautiful!

'Hope in Hollywood'
This is my favorite piece of the whole show, and in fact my favorite moment of my whole week in LA. "Why Carlo?" well I'll tell you.
As a whole image it has a message its thought provoking, relevant to the lost angels of Los Angeles and it has great punch,

'Hope in Hollywood'
Detail 1
Get a little closer and though marks and drips are starting to become clearer, the figure remains the prominent subject. The young inocent little girl forcing her hopes in pray.
Closer still her eyes are two canvas mass arears of black paint with white drips upon then, but still manage to depict the softness of a childs faith in her hopes.
Only once so close can the true freedom of mark making be appreciated for there own right.
And its the confidence and management of strokes, of mark making that makes the Artist the genius he is.

One amazing Show,
Suddenly i realised i Would be leaving L.A. the next day with my head saturated with details, substance, meanings and content. Something Los Angeles didn't have any of for me.
Thanks Antony

L.A. Post from September 2007

POST FROM SEPTEMBER 2007
L.A. Baby
You really must forgive me, though i did go on a tour bus of LA and Hollywood i did not photograh the main points of the tour.
so i would like to apologise before hand for not having photographed the hollywood shopping centre thats great design allowes you to see though it too the giant hollywood letters on the hill side in the distance.
Also for not shooting the building that was being restored to how it was
"OVER 30 YEARS AGO".
I also would greatly like to apologise for not having taken a picture of the Roosevelt Hotel, one of Los Angeles oldest and most prestigious buildings. That had an enormass tomb raider advert splashed across one side of it covering 6 floors. This building was indeed a beautiful exsample of early Hollywood, and what a great bill board it makes today.
Los Angeles
The city of lost angels
So true.
Is that a Banksy i see before me
A live performance art piece behind the reception of
the Standard Hotel, Sunset boulevard, Hollywood.
Can you believe this is "ART"
i most certainly can...

looking hopeful!
There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Role on the Micallef Preveiw.
Come on Antony Save them All..
